This service applies to standard-sized flues, lined stoves, and small open fires.

Our chimney sweeping service includes:

• Comprehensive safety inspection
• Ensuring compliance with current building regulations (Document J Building Regs)
• Protective sheeting and measures to control dust and soot
• Complete chimney sweep
• Cleaning and testing of your appliance/system setup
• Basic stove maintenance (major repairs may incur additional costs; see our Stove Maintenance page for details)
• Expert advice on minimizing future soot and creosote buildup and maximizing your appliance’s efficiency

 

Price £75

All work adheres to the standards of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. After payment, you will receive an insurance-approved Certificate of Sweeping from The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. Each additional chimney of a similar size in the same property is serviced at £70.00.

Please note that properties taller than two storeys incur a £10 service fee per extra storey.

Additional services, such as bird nest removal or complex stove repairs, will be charged separately.

Aga servicing is not covered in this price.

If nails are found in the stove (commonly due to burning wood that contains nails), an additional charge of £10 will be applied. This is due to the extra time required to safely remove the nails, as well as the risk of damage to hoover filters and equipment should a nail be vacuumed accidentally.

Standard / Small / Normal Sized Open Fireplace — £75

A fireplace opening up to 500mm (20 inches) wide and up to 600mm (24 inches) high
OR an opening with a total face area up to 0.30m².

For example, these would fall under the standard rate:

• 400mm x 500mm (0.20m²)

• 450mm x 550mm (0.25m²)

• 500mm x 600mm (0.30m²)
